Pursuit of Happiness

Remember the movie "Pursuit of Happiness" ? if you're a fan of Will Smith's movies..pasti tahu tentang film yang satu ini. Sebuah film (which based on a true story) yang menceritakan perjuangan seorang ayah dan anaknya (kebetulan diperankan oleh anaknya will smith sendiri) untuk mencoba bertahan one day at a time. If you have seen the movie..i bet all of you wish that you have the strength that he has..survive from one shelter to another..even they had to sneak into the toilet of a subway just to get some sleep. The persistance and how much he loves his son that kept him going foward.

I remember where there is a scene in the movie...He said to his son : "Son, if you want something..then GO GET IT!!.."

gw jadi berpikir dan bertanya pada diri sendiri..."is this the life that i want to live for the rest of my life?"

And gw bertanya lagi: "what do i really want in this life ? what is my purpose ?"

dan ternyata..setelah gw look back again through my enitre life..all my life..i never SAID what i want..only being pulled out from one direction to another direction...

My friend told me one:"My life is like a zombi...go to work...then go to the class after work..then go back to home...it's repeated over and over..."

That situation is precisely what happen to me also..which came to my senses..i never spent enough time to really understand myself..it seems..people always told me what is best for me..what is good for me..what is right and what is wrong..

apa mereka yang lebih tau apa yang baik..yang benar..yang bagus..?? this is my life..my pursuit of happiness..

My lecturer once disscuss about escalation of commitment.."if you already half way down...and you can't pull back or go back..then..you must commit to what you did..it's the most logical think that you have to do..."

but down the road...many turbulance and many waves that could wipe you away from your path...

it's true..that happened to me..i've been pull back into so many directions until i got lost..

but, all the process that i have been through..only to show that...if you don't have the GUTS to do of what you believe in..then you will get lost..the one to blame if you are lost is...YOURSELF!!

Just remember..life is short..don't take it for granted...you are the captain of your boat..

"they are great sailors but that because they have conquered great waves..so without great waves..there woudn't be any great sailors"
